The overnight policy rate (OPR) will remain at 2.75%, the decision of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) on 19 Jan 2023, allowing it to assess the effects of the cumulative past OPR modifications. In order to balance the risks to domestic inflation and sustainable growth, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) will continue to adjust the monetary policy settings.
