1. What are cookies.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by other parties (e.g., analytics services) are called "third-party cookies".
In addition to cookies, we use similar technologies such as web beacons (small pixel images that register when a page is opened) and local storage (browser-based storage for consent preferences). All references to "cookies" in this policy include these similar technologies unless otherwise stated.
2. How we use cookies.
We use cookies in two categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site to function. These cannot be disabled and do not require your consent under applicable law.
- Analytics cookies — used to understand how visitors use the Site. These are only loaded after you provide explicit consent via our cookie banner. If you decline, these cookies are never set.
We use no advertising cookies, no social media tracking cookies, and no cross-site profiling cookies of any kind.

4. Local storage.
In addition to cookies, we use browser localStorage to store your cookie consent preference (ssundar_cookie_ok). This is a first-party mechanism and is strictly necessary to remember your choice across visits. It does not track you or share data with any third party.
5. How to manage and withdraw consent.
Via our cookie banner: When you first visit the Site, a consent banner is presented. You may click "Accept" or "Decline". If you decline, no analytics cookies are loaded. Your choice is stored in localStorage.
To change your choice: Clear your browser's cookies and localStorage for ssundar.com, then revisit the Site. The banner will reappear and you may change your selection.
Via browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect Site functionality. Key browser controls:
Google Analytics opt-out: Google's browser opt-out add-on prevents your visit data from being sent to GA4 regardless of cookie settings.
6. Do Not Track.
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. We currently do not alter our data collection practices based on DNT signals, as there is no universally accepted technical standard for recognising and responding to such signals. We rely instead on our consent-based cookie management described above.
7. Changes to this policy.
We may update this Cookie Policy when new technologies are adopted or our practices change. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
